Workshop 3
AI-assisted video for marketers, a hands-on course
Marketing teams are being asked for more video with the same budget, and AI tools can help, if you know where they fit. In this course I show your team how to use them alongside the footage you shoot on your own phones. You'll learn what to hand to AI, what to keep human, and how to do it in a way you'd be happy to tell your audience about.

Two ways to make content in-house
The traditional way is still the backbone, meaning real people filmed on your phones, with good sound and light. That's what Video for business teaches.
The AI-assisted way adds tools that can draft a script, rough out a storyboard, generate a background shot or an animation, clean up audio and caption a video in minutes. Used well, they let a small team make more. Used badly, they make content that looks generic or misleads people. This course is about using them well, and most teams get the best results by combining the two.
What we cover
- Where AI helps a small marketing team. Scripts and outlines, storyboards, rough cuts, captions, translations and cleaner sound.
- Generating images, B-roll and simple animation, and when generated footage is the wrong choice.
- Combining AI-assisted material with real footage you film on your phones, so it still looks and sounds like you.
- Consent, likeness, copyright and disclosure. The rules to agree before anyone publishes anything.
- A repeatable workflow for the team. Who decides, who checks, and what gets signed off.
That's the core course, and I also run it bespoke. If your team or brand needs something in particular, a tool you've already bought, a format you have to deliver or a problem you keep hitting, tell me and I'll build the session around it.
Who teaches it
Me, Nigel Camp. I make films the traditional way through DevilBoy Productions, and I also direct AI adverts, brand films and music visuals. My first AI short, The Wall, was Highly Commended at Big Screen Hack London 2026.
A person stays in charge of every decision I make, including the story, the script and what gets published. The tools do the heavy lifting. I publish the standard I hold AI work to in my AI policy, and the course teaches your team to set one of their own.
By the end of the day
Your team will have made a short piece of marketing content that mixes AI-assisted material with footage they shot themselves, and agreed a simple set of rules for using AI in your own work.
How pricing works
A team day at your office starts at £1,395 + VAT for up to six people, and a full-day live online session for up to six people starts at £1,200 + VAT. Half days and full days are quoted for your team. The final price depends on how many people, where, and how long. Tell me those three things and I'll send a short plan and a fixed price within two working days, with no obligation. A 50% deposit confirms the date. If you'd like me to book a room in London, the hire cost is added at cost. Full workshop terms.
A typical day
| 10:00 | Brief |
|---|---|
| 10:30 | Shoot |
| 12:30 | Lunch |
| 13:15 | Edit |

A sample full day. I adjust the timings for each group, and a half day runs for three and a half hours.
